Rotate text

I am trying, unsuccessfully to rotate text.

The help system say to select the text note, then right click to display
the menu. Then chose Rotate 90 CW or CCW to rotate the text.

I can not get the menu to say Rotate 90 CW or CCW. I have tried while
sketch was in edit mode and finished.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Right click on the origin grip at the corner, the menu will appear.

No luck.

Here's what I have done.

I created a work plane. Then created a new sketch on the work plane. I then
use the text tool to add a part number. But I cannot get any thing to come up
prompting me to rotate the text. The menu that comes up does not include a
Rotate 90 CW or Rotate 90 CCW. Even tried using the rotate tool from the
sketch menu.

I think that help screen refers to idw. Anyway the solution is to simply add an angle dimension to one of the edges of the text box and an edge of the model. (Treate the text like any other sketch-fully dimension and constrain the text box.)

Sorry, misunderstood.... just add a construction line to one edge of
the text box with collinear constrant. Then rotate... it will ask you if
you want to remove the constraint... say no.

I just grab the corner grip and hold the LMB and drag the text in a circular
motion. The context menu is only for .idws as stated by another user. It
does bring up the question though of how do you rotate the text in an .idw
in some increment less than 90° like 30°?

You can not.

You can if a point is constrained (or fixed) and all that is left is a
rotational constraint or dim. Make sure that there are no
horizontal/vertical or parallel/perendicular constraints.

That will work in an ipt but not an idw where the rotate RMB will show up.
Are we talking about idw or ipt?

I am usually the one that misses things like that

Create a sketched symbol with only text. Sketched symbols can be placed at
any angle. Ok, it's an ugly workaround.
