replace component in IDW

What a great idea.
Does any one know if this is possible.
I have many parts that are the same except a flange length here and there. It would save me a lot of time if I could just insert a new flat pattern from another IPT.
When I used ACAD I was able to copy and just stretch around my dims, but not any more.
R5
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Ray

Not sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish, but could you make iParts of your
common parts?

Just trying to save a little time creating IDW drawings to give the guys in the shop to make our parts. The part numbers are different& there only a few differences in the parts so like I said I could just stretch a few dimensions around and be done If I could replace a component like in an IAM.
Instead I have to go through the motions for each part and it is kind of redundent.

Why not use DA and copy both the IPT and the IDW, then edit the IPT and change the one or
two dims, and you copied drawing will update to the change.

DA? Hope this dosen't mean that I am A (edited)
explain DA. However the ipt's are usually all created as an assy. The idw's are'nt even a thought untill its time to release the whole job.
