What is the most efficient way of renaming a part(.ipt) and its drawing(.idw) within Inventor 2008? Changes are being made to the original part. We would like the revised part and drawing to have a new number. The part is being used in an assembly.
IF you are not using Vault, then your stuck using Design Assist which for a big file takes forever to load. You make the changes at the most top level for the document. Which would be the .idw if already created, otherwise the top assy model.
