Try double clicking your scroll wheel on your mouse. This will do an automatic fit. Then zoom back into where you were. It should look better.

It might be Tools-App.options-Display and the press The ? button at the lower left corner to play with settings

or

Update your graphics card or driver(most possible)

Thanks Svein

In addition to the other comments

I think I saw something about opening the part file once to fully load in iam.

Never mind I just tried that and didn't see any difference. Message was edited by: JD Mather

tools> applications>display. set to smooth, but as it says it may slow performance.
Also try "look at" tool and zoom in, sometimes this helps.

This never really bothered me but as an academic exercise I tried all of the above. No difference.

To be certain you have incorporated edits to all geometry in a part file, use Rebuild All. Autodesk Inventor regenerates the entire file, even if some geometry did not require an update.

You must be working in a part file:

  1. Open a part file.
  2. On the ribbon, click Manage tab  Update panel  Rebuild All .

By contrast, the Update command regenerates only the geometry that has significant edits held in memory. If the Defer Update option is selected (on Assembly tab of the Application Options dialog box), you can continue working without incorporating edits to geometry until you click Update.

Hi! There is indeed a command in Inventor like AutoCAD REGEN. It is call Refine Appearance. To enable the command, you need to check "Disable automatic refinement" in Application Options. See below posting.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/option-to-always-switch-on-refine-appearance/idi-p/663...

When the option is checked, Inventor will not automatically regenerate graphics. So, a circle can look like a polygon. The benefit is the graphical performance. In order to refine the graphics (regenerate), simply click Refine Appearance button at QAT at the top or View -> Refine Appearance.

Many thanks!
