reference geometry

Is it possible to make reference items to show fully, not just adjoining to normal geometry parts of it?

Edit the view. There is an option on how to show reference parts.

thanks, it partially addresses the issue; but then there is another problem: after setting option to 'full body' section through reference parts is a bit dodgy - they are not hatched and not all the necessary lines turn to hidden

OK, but I would like to see reference item shaded in my view. Is it possible?

will H, saveas, the reference part and insert it into the desired assembly as non ref with no mass. this will of course cause problems in your BOM and if its linked up to external databases, major headaches...
