rectangle pattern

What equation do i use in the Rectangle Pattern Tool so that Extrusion-1 has 9 occurences and that the last (number 9) finishes in the same spot as the first Extrusion on the opposite side

Hi Ray, it's not clear your intent, the path, the orientation...

Can you attach a drawing of your final desired result?
