If you have transcription turned on you can probably get it back but you
have to edit out the last command (the one that crashed) before running the
macro.

OK I looked: Where can I see if I have transcription turned on?

I'm sure I know what you mean, since the other software package I use has
something that sounds similar: a playback of your steps.

I've been looking for this in IV from the beginning......

More instructions, please, Larry.

You should also make sure to make a copy of the file in the OldVersions
folder so you don't overwrite it while messing around. As a last resort
you can use it since it was the last saved version.

Easiest way is to use Sean's iTweak which lets you read the present
configuration, then change/update it, but if you don't know it's turned on
or that it's available, there's not much chance it is turned on because it's
off by default.
