Radius Extrusion Possible or not?

Here’s the dilemma.
So I have this corner sample I need to create.
Imagine if you will a 6” x 6” corner of 1-1/8” thick Baltic Birch plywood.
The corner has a 3-1/4” radius.
The profile is a 30 degree knife edge with a ¼” left at the top.
0.04” HPL top sheet and 0.04” backer.
If I create the plywood in an assembly to show realism, how do I get the profile to wrap correctly around the radius?
If I sketch the profile onto the assemble and extrude it, the profile just runs off the end.
You don’t have the option of sweeping an assembly so that’s not an option either.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

So in the image you see the Mitered corner version. I want to achieve a radius corner but have the profile flow with the radius.

Can you post some examples?
Files showing your best attempts and some screen shots to show the end result you're after would be helpful.

Multi-body solids and push out the assembly.

What release of Inventor are you using?

The cool thing about CAD - no word imagination descriptions needed. (In fact, isn't that the very purpose of CAD?)

Pictures, and better yet - your best 3D modeling attempt will go a long ways further than a lot of words.

This is like pulling teeth. That image is way too small.

Go to the Windows Globe icon in lower left corner of your screen.

Start typing Snipp...

and click on Snipping Tool.

Capture image of only the  geometry on your screen (we are already familiar with the Inventor interface).

Snipping Tool.png or better yet - attach your *.ipt files here.

Hi JDMather,

Just to avoid confusion I'll mention that it looks like the OP might be using Windows XP, and therefore is not likely to have the Snipping Tool available.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

Just from the imformation here and viewing the screen shots. I would think a 2D profile with a 3D Sketch could sweep the initial shape. You can do this in an assembly file as long as you are within the part edit environment. Create the part within the assembly and if needed project points from other part file to create the 3D Sweep. Again just my initial thoughts.

Don

This is a perfect application for multi-body solids, as JD suggested at the start of the thread. Any other method is going to be significantly more work.

Have you tried it, Mike?

IMO, each and every body needs to be selected for the sweep.

Here's a quick example:

Edit: I forgot to mention: I can't open any of the parts in this thread because I'm still on 2013, so I'm just going by the pictures that the OP posted.

Having read the other thread by this OP, I'm not really sure of the design intent or best approach.

I am fairly sure though, that the OP is doing way too much work.  (see post #24
