R11 with 2008

Dear All,

We are currently on R11 network and server system and in the middle of projects. Recently we received the 2008 subscription update. Now, can we just upgrade 1 PC first to check things out before upgrading the entire system?

Thanks in advance.

The file format from IV11 to IV2008 is different and files will require
migration. A copy of the files in a different directory that can be migrated
separately from your daily working files would be required for testing.

I know about the migration thing. I will just be doing separate test items.
What I want to know is whether or not the "network license count" file allow one 2008 while the rest is R11.

Yes, on a combined license file. You will get X number of each for a total
in use of X

ADMS2008 for IV2008 and ADMS5 for IV11 cannot sit on the same computer / server. IV2008 needs ADMS2008 but IV11 will not work with it without an update wich is on the AIS2008 dvd. You need to read the installation handbooks as there are some more things about cc libraries to consider.
