Hi all
I found if I use "Place iLogic component" for putting an assembly inside a new assembly
It will copy all source files in my new path for the new assembly that is really easy to copy entire parts and previous sub assemblies in a new folder and will generate all new parts inside new path and new links !
But I faced a little problem
This procedure will remove adaptively of component inside any subassemblies
Check below images, in new placed assembly, adaptivity of two new components not exists anymore and I need to manually make them adaptive
Do you have any suggestion for keeping original level of adaptivity in this procedure for new files?
Hi Amir,
What is that component using for it's reference, i.e. what is it maintaining adaptivity to?

Hi Gavin
They are adaptive to other part's edge to have a plane in exact position and angle,
adaptivity is removed from subassembly level but still their sketches or planes are adaptive so all I need to do is to manually make those part adaptive by right click on them ! and its little weird
Hi! I believe you are working on Configuration related workflows, since you asked related questions. First of all, Inventor assembly and part, as of 2020, can only represent one geometric definition at a time. When a component requires to have two or more different co-existing shapes, you need to two multiple files.
As a result, adaptive part can only be adaptive within an assembly. You cannot have the part adaptive to components within Assembly A, while it is also adaptive to another group of components in Assembly B. It is simply not supported. iAssembly and iPart are subject to the same limitation. This is why Place iLogic Component command clears out the adaptive flag when you place an existing adaptive component.
You will need to use iLogic Design Copy to make a copy of the same files. If you place the new copy into an assembly, you will be able to enable or keep adaptivity.
Many thanks!
