I recently changed from 2010 to 2013 and really dislike the color and background options under the Apperance tab in View. Everything looks greyish, muted and difficult to see. Is there a way to get the same back ground and color choices as 2010?

No, I just had shaded. With edges looks better. The background is sort of a grey gradient and just shows options for wallpaper type things. It has been a while since I looked at 2010 but remember somethign more clean and easier to read.
I think there is a color scheme editor in the SDK, but not sure.
