Publishing DWF time too long

I'm using a external PDM that manage the all files, but from when I installed the Inventor 2014, the publishing IDW is too long, also hours, is not acceptable.

In the lower bar campare "executing publish inventor file to dwf" and my pc think, think ....

Please help me

Thanks

Hi,

Welcome to Autodesk Discussion Group.

First thing to ask. Your Inventor has all the updates installed?

Sounds more like an issue with your management software and how it's set to "check-in" files.

The quickest thing to check is to be logged in as an Administrator and see if there is an improvement in speed. It could have something to do with access rights and file privileges.

When you publish yuor idw to a .dwf file are you only publishing the 2D data or are you including the 3D model data too ? If these are drawings for large assemblies then including the 3D model data can notably increase idw publishing time.

When you create the dwf, click on option & ensure you're publishing exactly what you need.

Thanks

The files can be small, also only a part as with a assembly.
I have the privileges of administrator, but the problem remains

You mention that you are using an external PDM system; where are you writing the dwf files to ? Are they being integrated in to some other PDM based workflow/system ?

Does dwf export speed improve if you work outside of the PDM tool, with all add-ins unloaded & write the dwf to your local disk ? Just wondering if this is an Inventor export issue, or an issue with your larger infrastructure.

Can you attach a sample idw to see if we can export it without issue ?

Thanks

Chris

The problem is only with the dwf, the external PDM system based with workflow/system, the programm is integrated with Inventor. The PDM is settable with dwf and pdf. I have done some test, with pdf there is not problem but with dwf the time is too long.

I don't change the setup on the PDM, because I should to cancel all DWF and re-crate all PDF...
