promoting objects - what about the imates?

This is a general question to all, but perhaps the Adesk staff can take this as a request. When we promote something in an assembly that has been mated with imates (or composite imates) we lose the mating of those components. Is there an easy way for the users to cut-paste those imates higher into the structure (since all faces and edges for mating would be the present and unchanged) - or can future versions promote these imates with the objects? Even as a setting or question on promoting the (composite) imates upwards? Its getting real old to keep remaking my imates at higher levels in the structure when I find I have to re-organize my assemblies and sub asms.

This is big one on my list also. I also have something to add to this. Why can't we change a part into an ipart with out that part losing all of it's constraints in an assembly?
