Project File

Hello

I'm used to Autocad where i save a file and can send/copy/save as very easily.

Now i'm using autocad the project file baffles me a little.

I work on a shared network, but do work at home (totally offline).  Can i work on a folder on my desktop, then copy it accross to the network for anyone to open, even though they won't have the project file?

Do i save the project file in the folder on the desktop? will it know to change the references if it gets copied accross to the shared directory>?

Any help appreceiated.
