Process Address Space Warning

Hi
Can any one help explain this Warning Message?
Your Inventor Session has used up more than 80%
of the available Process Address Space.
It is highly recommended that you close down some documents before processing further.

I am using Inventor 8 to open a large assembly
across a network using a PC with 1MB RAM,
4GB Page file space allocated.
The file is using approximate. 1.4GB Virtual Memory.

This is a very annoying message that can be controlled. Download iTweak from www.sdotson.com and you will be able to set adrres trigger and memory trigger to 99%. This means the warning only comes up when Windows is about to fall over.

Make sure that before running iTweak that you have set decimal marker to "." period and not comma in regional settings.

It sounds like you might be getting close to being a candidate for the 3GB switch if you are using WinXP. It allocates more memory per process so you can open larger assemblies before seeing this error.

You might also increase your physical RAM, 1MB is little light for Inventor, should speed things up nicely and your hard drive will last much longer 😉
