problems using floor(rounding a number down) within a rule.

could anyone give me any information about using the floor command within i logics. i have written the rule ok and it does not come up with an error. However the rule doesnt actually activate, as the component pattern it is set to gives it 7.6 ul. Inventor then automatically rounds this up, the floor rule should counteract this but does not. Does anyone know why this could be?

thanks

Tom

Hi tom.hallam,

Here is an example part that has two patterns that are set up to adjust if the base extrusion length is changed. One uses Floor, and the other doesn't. Hopefully you can examine this see how it should work, in order to help toubleshoot your part. If not, attach your file or a simplified version of it, as mrattray suggests. And I'm sure someone can help you get it sorted.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis
