problem with 2d equation curve

want to put -2.5x^3+5x^2-6x in a parametric equation line curve. i put this: 1 in *-(2.5 ul) * ( t ) ^ 3 ul + 1 in * ( 5 ul ) * ( t ) ^ 2 ul + 1 in * -( 6 ul ) * ( t ) ^ 1 ul, where y equals t and it says cannot create curve

Hi and welcome to the forum!

What version of Inventor are you using?  I am using 2014 and it worked (see attached).  Can you post a screen shot of what you see when you put it in the equation editor?
