Problem in spring-cam assembly mates (please give an advice)

Hello,

I have tried to build a simplified engine valve mechanism, that consists of a base, valve, spring, cam and two plates, covering the top and the bottom of the spring.

The adaptive spring is made in accoradance with this tutorial

The cam is made like that

Each of them works fine in my system, but when I combine them, the assembly does not work as I want it to (for the cam to push the upper plate, the valve, and thus to compress the spring).

What is my mistake? Because I don't belive it is not possible to make such a relatively easy system in Inventor.

May be there is an another method?

The assembly is attached below and the zip file, containing assembly and its separate parts is here. I have 2012 Inventor Pro on Windows 7 64x.

Thanks in advance.

I don't see an part files attached here.

I made the mistake of going to a 3rd party site last week and my internet ran very very slowly after that until I did a Restore.

(second time I made that mistake in a year - will never do it again)

Can you use Dynamic Simulation Environment instead?

if not -

If you used Adaptive component I would Animate Parameter instead.  (only works in Studio Environment)
