problem importing excel points to inventor 2013 sketch

When I use the import excel points function in the 2D sketch menu of Inventor 2013, nothing happens when I open the excel file. No points are drawn in the sketch... I don't even get an error message... I have tried the same thing on another computer with the exact same spreadsheet and it works 100%.

Can someone please tell me what the issue could be?

I'm running Inventor 2013 service pack 2 on a Lenovo Y570 with an Nvidia GeForce GT555M GFX card

Hi,

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue in my side.

Is Link parameter on the Parameter dialog box working on your machine?

(Part file > [Manage] tab > Parameters panel > Parameter > click [link])

When I click [link], I just get an error box saying "Not Implemented" when I choose the excel file I'm trying to get points from (see screenshot attached). This also happens on the computer that does draw the points though... Am I doing something wrong?

Also note how the top taskbar is sort of faded and hardly visible. Maybe this is related to my problem somehow?
