I inserted some parts into the assembly. In my presentation file they are not visible, they are visible in drawing file.
Its a real pain now because its seems I have to go to each view of an .ipn file and turn the visibility of the inserted parts on. Eventhou those parts dont show in .ipn file they show in drawing file in coresponding views.
This is really annoying. Why inserted parts are invisible in .ipn file and visible in .idw?
Is this Inventor 2012 SP1?
Have you ticked the "Associative" view box?
Are you using Design View Representations in your Assembly?
If so, are they Locked (or were locked before adding the new parts)?
If the answer is 'Yes' to all of the above and still no joy, it is the bug I ran into last year (Drawing view of an IPN does not obey design view representations). I've reported this last October (Case Number 06759691), still not received a satisfactory solution, and the case was closed. The person who closed it said it will be fixed in SP2...
Sadly, it feels like the IPN environment is being neglected.
This is a first time I come across this problem.
Views no locked.
Associative checked, unchecked, no diff.
Frustrating.
