Post a copy of your file or atleast a screen shot. Also the version of inventor you are using.

I'd strongly recommend using 2D sketches to control 3D sketches and/or points.  Much more robust and much easier to control and adjust for design changes.

Imagine that you were doing a 2D drawing back on the drawing board or in AutoCAD.

sketch what that 2D drawing would look like from the top view (in a 2D sketch).

Exit sketch.

Now go to the front view, start a new sketch and sketch what that 2D drawing would look like from the front view (in a 2D sketch).

(an alternative would be top and right side view or front and right side view - whichever two views would be easiest to create on the drawing board)

Attach the file here. (forget your 3D sketch for now).

I can't get my PI toolbar to work either.Inventor PI.jpg

Just installed the SP2 on 2014, 64-bit.

Build: 246 Release: 2014 SP2

Please let me know if you have a solution.

Thanks!

ilya.
