Points in 3D space. A list of 50 points for Inventor 2013

What are some techniques to import a list of points in x, y, and z?   Many they be separate features or a grouped?  (Manual Entry Vs. Batch Entry)  (Single Entry Vs. Multple Entry)

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but to insert single points you should look at precise input within a 3D sketch.

For batch input, you can import (X,Y,Z) points from an excel file: http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/enu?adskContextId=TOOLTIP_S3XIMPORTPOINTSCMD&language=ENU&release=2013&....

Okay that worked in a Part but wanted to create Work Points in an Assembly. May I create a 3D sketch in an Assembly? Tony P.S. Also I wanted each point to have its own name, like a Work Point would. The 3D sketch contain 8 points and I would like to have eight listed points. [cid:image001.png@01CE0095.8453E1E0]
