Placing iFeatures

In this example the Blue Feature has been created as an iFeature (and modified) then added back to the original object

_Place_IFeature.jpg

This works fine if the iFeature is added as shown, however, if I use the Flip Arrow to "engrave" the feature into the surface I only get the sketch on the selected surface.  Then I have to use "Extrude" to do the engraving.

That seems odd.  What have I missed?

Hi!!

You have to create two different iFeatures, one for add, other to subtract material.

Your iFeature is kind of macro. For this case, the macro is programed to add material, not to cut.

Hi!

You made the other iFeature, right!?

Make another one, but with the extrusion cutting. Publish the operation as a iFeature.
