placing bolt from content centre

Hello to All,

 

I starting out new to Inventor 2013.What are the steps to place a washer and bolt from Content Centre into the assembly?

1.) Open your assembly

2.) Click on Assembly tab

3.) in the Component tab, select place from Content Center

4.) Select Fasteners

 

get proper training, this is covered in the basic operation/use of Inventor

Blair,yes i plan on getting some training

 

I was able to get to the points you mentioned but i was wondering whether there is option for bolt length and can it place the bolt into the 4 holes in 1 go.

When the bolt is selected do i select the threaded hole to place the bolt or the hole above the threaded hole from the part above

just tried the bolt connection which i had originally looked at.Is this done correct .Looking at the interference i may have selected the wrong bolt but i think i get the picture
