Placing a Bitmap in a ipt

I have had no success importing or placing a bitmap that looks good. I place
a 600 kb file it looks bad I placed a 60 mb file and it imported it very
small also and I had to stretch it but it was still pixilated and blocky.
What is up? I have checked the link box and unchecked it, I have used the
mask, refreshed, closed and opened the file nothing works. I know the
picture is excellent, I did it in Photoshop looks great. Any Ideas? Please.

The end result is to cut a silhouette for a sign on 12 ga. take the image
place it on the sheet with the type and extrude, save the flat pattern dxf
file and turn it into NC code to cut out. Bitmaps are (edited) for this process.

Actually BMPs are one of the better quality files. The secret is that your
image in Photoshop needs to be the same size as what it will be in Inventor.
So if the sign is 12" high in Inventor it needs to be 12" high in Photoshop.

This is just as I have done. But why is it that when I place the bitmap, I
have to scale it or stretch it? It comes in the same size even if it is a
larger or smaller file.

I'm not seeing that. These are 2 differently sized BMPs. The dimension is
to show that they do indeed come in at the size I created them.

Well there must be something wrong here, I get all the same sized imports. I
will post in the CF a screen shot as I don't think folks will like it if I
do it here. Under the same subject name

Looks as if I am only getting the thumbnail instead of the actual bmp.

Download iTweak from my site (VBA) page and reset your BMP editor.

That did the trick! I now have different sized imported bitmaps again.
Thanks Sean
