Placing a 90 deg elbow at 30 deg to connecting pipework

Hi,

I am putting together a piping assembly using elbows and pipes from the contents centre. I want one of my elbows to be placed at an angle of 30 deg. At present I am constraining the elbow face to the face of the last piece of pipe and i am unable to rotate the elbow to exactly 30 deg.

Can someone please advise on how to do this properly?

Cheers

Use an Angle constraint to Origin workplanes.

Attach your assembly here if you can't figure it out.

An assembly file (*.iam) is only a list of hyperlinks to the part files (*.ipt) and a record of assembly constraints (and a bit more).

You must include the part files.

Using assembly constriants to origin planes - you should be able to set at any angle you need.

Hi,

Sorry fo rthe delay in my reply.

I'm still unable to rotate the elbow to exactly 30 deg. Are you able to send me an example on how to complete this?

Download the Pipe.zip file I attached above.

Right click on the filename and select Extract all.

Open the assembly in the extracted folder.
