Phantom Sub Assemblies

I want Inventor to skip over some sub assemblies (phantoms) and list the component parts, while in the same drawing I want it to stop at other proper sub assemblies.

This would be very useful as I can then make virtual (phantom) assemblies that have standard parts all linked together, which can then be dropped into an assembly with a couple of constraints. When I do a parts list this sub assembly does not exist, but I will see all the parts.

I can only get Inventor to do either all phantoms or all sub assemblies - not both.

Any work arounds? Or ways to do this?
