I make most of my idws into pdf files, but you are correct that there is no
built-in feature in Inventor to do it. I use Adobe Acrobat. Other than the
$200 for the software, it is no extra work because I have set up the Adobe
Distiller as my printer. Just performing the print function automatically
creates the pdf file. If I want a paper print, I just print the pdf file.
There are less costly pdf writers available than Adobe. There used to be
some free ones. I don't know if there are still some of those available. I
find the $200 worthwhile, but if the cost is a problem, search for pdf
writers or pdf creators and see what low cost or free options are available.
