PC Anywhere Host Not allowing IV 7 to Run

Has anyone run into the problem of having a PC Anywhere host running and not
able to start Inventor 7? This appears to be a new problem for 7.

Are you trying to run IV on another computer using PC anywhere?

I start the host for PC-Anywhere, waiting to
recieve a remote connection.  Then try to start IV on the work station and
the error occurs.

The goal is to have the Host up and running with IV
also running, say updating a drawing when I leave work and be able to check the
status once I get home.

I've only ran PC anywhere once with IV and it was incredibly slow so we scrapped any future attempts of using it that way. As for your error, I apologize that I don't know what to tell you. I'd have to say to check with your IT department.

Haven't tried PC Anywhere, but I do use WinVNC occasionally. I usually
start IV after I have logged in remotely.

You might want to try netmeeting instead.

Thanks,

I have tried IT and my Autodesk reseller and I
still have the problem.

Does Netmeeting allow unattended access?  I
thought there had to be someone on each end.

In netmeeting go to Tools>Options>Remote Desktop Sharing and run through the wizard. Then rmb on the icon and choose "Activate Remote Desktop Sharing". This would be the host.

I just found out that I had not tried to run the PC-Anywhere host and
Inventor 7 with the SP1, that I applied last week.

In responding to John Elliot I realized this and tried the two applications
togeather, They now work in harmony.
