Parts List Numbering

In Inventor 2010 is it possible to change the numbering system so that it continues sequentially with each assembly/subassembly added across the sheets in a drawing file?

I have had a quick search and couldnt find anything.

Thanks guys.

No, not directly, but you can create an assembly that contains all the parts/assemblies in a single IAM file and then create View Reps or LOD's for each of your required drawing views (suppress all items except for what you want in that view). This will allow the BOM and any Ballooning to be consistent across your drawing views.

Hi cwilcox90,

Depending on the details of what you're doing you might be able to do this. Paul Munford might be able to shed some light on this at this link:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis
