part weight settings

I have tried searching for an answer to this, but can not find anything.

Where do I set my weight per cubic inch at?

Someone prior to me has made the settings in Inventor, and I don't believe they have the weight for mild steel correct.

I've attached a part, that using my calculator, I know it's in the neighborhood of 7.5 lbs., but with how ever the settings are set, iproperties is showing the part was weighing about 4.5 lbs.

Where, in my part template, would I set the weight values at?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi! To change the density, you need to go to Material Browser (one ot he buttons at the top) and find the Material Style of interest and edit there. I took a look at the part you attached. I don't think the density is wrong. It is somehow somebody override the mass calculation (the little hand icon next to the Mass readout in iProperties). You simply need to clear the value and click Update button. Then the Mass will return to its sensible computed value.

Thanks!
