Hello !
I have autodesk inventor 2012 and I'm building an assembly of an air compressor. One big part is coloured yellow and has on both sides decals with an image on them.
When I open my assembly file, the part is there in my assembly but it is coloured gray and no decals are visible, if I open the part with the decals it shows perfectly, So if I use replace and put the original file back in there, it's fixed, until I close and reopen the assembly ! Again the part is other colour and no decals visible ...
Have tried to delete and place the decals again, no difference...
What do I have to do ?

Can you attach the assembly here that exhibits this behavior?
Have you installed SP1 and Hotfixes?
Are you using View Reps?

I did the service pack , hotfixes . How can I give you the assembly ? now I have to give you all the files? The forum wont upload rar files ....
Am new to inventor 😉
I am not interested in rar file.
Windows will create or open *.zip file with no 3rd party software required.
Copy all part files and the assembly file into a folder.
Right click on the folder name and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Attach the resulting *.zip file here.
If the *.zip file is larger than 1.5 Meg (and won't attahc here. delete it.
Open the larger ipt files and drag the red End of Part marker to the top of the browser hidding all features.
Save the file with the EOP in a rolled up state.
It will now be much smaller when zipped.

This hole is too big for an M16 thread? There will not be any material for the thread.
Why didn't you use the Hole feature?

This bracket is not uniform thickness.
Is that intended?

14mm is the tapping hole for an M16 thread.
This would have been done corretly had you used the treaded hole option.
If you not sure about the Dia of a tapping hole ther's a whole host of data sheet avable on line. One booklet that I find very usefull is "Zeus Precision"
Well I fixed what you saw that was not correct, didn't change it.
But then I started to remove some things and I found it !
When using the weld function I also used prepare to chamfer the both ends of my cinlinder, If do this not in the the weld / preparation fucntion but just when making the part it works perfectly.
Thanks for the other corrections 😉
