Part not properly attached

Hi,

I am currently working on a project in Inventor and have come accross a problem. One of my parts is not properly attached to the other part, leaving a very small space between. Please take a look at my attached file to get a better understanding. I am very thankfull for any replies I recieve 🙂

Greetings,

Erika

Simply Extrude or Revolve the proper intersection.

Attach your *.ipt file here if you can't figure out how.

Thanks for your answer!

Unfortunately, I have tried to extrude the part and not succeeded in doing so. I have attached the file below if you are willing to help.

Thanks again,

Erika

While I take a look at the file - I recommend that you install the Service Packs and Updates for your version of Inventor.

Edit Sketch2

Change the dimension shown here to 20mm (or any distance necessary to close the gap).

So easy!

I noticed that your Sketch1 is not constrained or making obvious use of symmetry about the origin.

You are doing extra work - I recommend that you go through these -
