Old AutoCad 2000 switching to 2012 Inventor

I have used AC 2000 for the last 10 years. I just landed a job at a metals fab company that uses Inventor Pro 2012. I am completely lost. Can I change the settings to revert back to the old AC 2000?

AutoCAD is not Inventor.

Inventor is not AutoCAD.

Which one do you want (have) to use?

If you have Inventor 2012 I think you also have AutoCAD (I think they came as a package back then), but I would concentrate on learning Inventor.  (you won't recognize AutoCAD 2012 either, but it could be set to Classic)

If you used to use AutoCAD, you will be very lost. AutoCAD is generally 2-dimensional drafting, while Inventor is 3-dimensional modeling.

Inventor has a steep learning curve, but will be well worth learning.
Do you have the Product Design Suite? That comes with AutoCAD which is probably more like what you are used to using.

This isn't the answer you want to hear, but the only real solution is to get formal training for Inventor.
