Object layer color in Inventor DWG changes when opened in AutoCAD

After a thorough search on here I haven't found anything that addresses this particular problem.  I have Inventor dwg templete set up to match our 2D drafting standards with matching layers and colors.  The problem occurs when I open the DWG in AutoCAD all of the layer colors show up except for the "0" (object, Visible ANSI) which apear white.  I can go into the block editor and change the properties on the color from "ByBlock" to "ByLayer" and it will change the color to what it's suppose to be.  However, when I do this and save it, the next time you open it in Inventor you get the "this drawing was modified outside of Inventor and will be converted back."

How can I get these drawings to not save the color as "ByBlock"?

Thanks.

Now, when I went and did all of this when I got to plot (yes, I'm using a ctb that it can find) the colors even show up on the plot preview.  This is really weird!
