Does anyone have an NVIDIA Quadro FX3700 graphics card on their workstations? If so I'd like to know if they have any problems.
Despite keeping drivers up to date (along with inventor), im constantly having issues. Often the software will lock up or crash all together (sometimes the system even blue screens).
Often once or twice a day, inventor will lock up and freeze when tyring to open, save, or place a part (after the dialogue window pops up), but today alone it's happened 6 times in 2 hours! very frustrating.
Inventor, OS, hardware spec and driver version?
it's a 4 year old card so could just be giving up the will to live... (or overheating due to 4 years of dust clogging up the fans)
What blue screens? error codes..
Have you run memtest?

I'd like to think that it was as up to date as it could be (being it an old card).
Not very often would I get a blue screen, but it seemed to occur when running Inventor along with Youtube.
Should also mention that I have 2 PC monitors. One using a VGA connection and the other using a DVI.
XP Pro - is that 32 bit? with or without the 3gb switch?
If you're running the 3gb switch then try without, you could be starving Windows and crucial drivers of their memory. Have you tried without the 2nd monitor running - does that improve stability (less demand on the system)?
In all honesty that's a pretty old-spec pc for any productive/professional Inventor use. Sure it should work and not crash, but 32 bit windows limitations might be coming to play so it's worth considering Win 7 64bit. At the end of the day XP is over 10 years old now (released Aug 2001), so in computing terms is ancient.
If you've had any blue screens have you investigated the error codes or used one of the blue screen debug tools to try and identify what driver/component is at fault?
If you've kept the graphics drivers up to date, how about all the other drivers? Don't know why but it seems the majority of users only ever update the graphics drivers... Chipset/motherboard drivers are like the backbone of the system, if they're flaky then anything can be impacted. With XP you have the delights of keeping DirectX and .net up to date too... so go through EVERYTHING (graphics, sound, motherboard, mouse, Windows, DirectX, .Net, etc) - if you're getting frequent crashes then you might be better off re-installing all drivers just to be safe (possibly worth running a driver-cleaner thing clean the system down entirely - hell, wiping and reinstalling XP fresh could be an idea) and remember to reboot after each.
