number / scientific number format

In the inventor material editor dialog, when changing/creating material; is it possible add strength (yeild / tensile) values in numeri format? I see that its represented in generally scientic format.

I know there are methods to easily convert numbers to scientific, but i'd rather prefer enter a general number.

Yep.  If you enter 115,000 psi for a value, it'll magically become 1.15e5 once you click away (or maybe it's when you click okay, I can't remember exactly).

Thanks Rusty !

Never knew this.  I was taking efforts to convert always.

Clicking into another box or apply button worked.

Glad that worked out for you!

One of my favorite things about Inventor is that it does the math and the thinking for me, because I suck at math.
