NPT thread class why ?

Correct me if I'm wrong When I select hole note with a (i.e. 1/8 npt created with thread command) in a idw I get 1/8-27 -2A. I don't think NPT has a thread class, and if it does should be reading 2B for inside thread
and the excel spread sheet does not have a class written on so why is it showing up.

Just go modify the threads.xls file for inventor.
You can make it say whatever you want.

This is fixed in our internal builds. Unsure when users can have this. Thanks.

ANSI B1.20.3-1976 - Dryseal Pipe Threads (Inch)

Page 3, section 1.3, subsection1.3.1: "Two classes of NPTF threads have been established: Class 1 and Class 2. Class 1 signifiies that specific inspection of root and crest truncation is not required, while class 2 signifies that such is required."

"In cases where class is not denoted, the thread shall be considered Class 1."

This applies to the Dryseal type, where the F stands for Fuel. This style was meant to seal on their thread crests and roots without the need for sealant (HA!!!). I don't have the much older plain USA (American) pipe thread spec.
