Novell-based PDM/EDM solutions?

We are currently using a mix of AutoCAD2000/2004 and SW2004 in our design & engineering depts, and are committed to a PDM/EDM solution in the very near future. PDMWorks is the likely (obvious?) current choice. We have a varied mix of legacy data, both 2D/3D AutoCAD, various flavours of CAM and others. We also run Novell servers here, and as a result of the lack of non-Microsoft solutions availability, look like being forced down the MS Windows Server route with all the additional costs which this entails. In a previous firm we used with some success, Cyco "Automanager Workflow" software for our then mainly Autocad-based design dept, but the current versions of this (Meridian) seem to require Windows Server/Adv Server now too. Are there really no alternatives to the Microsoft route? Any opinions greatly appreciated. JB

Take a look at Adept PDM by Synergis. We use it with Novel. I believe they just got certified for SW.
