not able to add fillet

The centre of the part where Loft1 ends i am unable to apply fillet. Also cannot apply fillet where Extrusion1 and Loft1 join.I want to have a blended appearance instead of the join lines.Maybe i have used the wrong process for this part but can a fileet apply to this section?

You can use a face fillet of upt to 3 mm (at least in 2015)

Then it get interesting. Between 3 and 30mm, the part disappeares except for hte fillet surface and the part in fact becomes just that surface. About 30mm, the fillet fails.

Here's another way of doing.

I could get an acceptable outside look, but no shell could be done with 2015.

Smiley Wink Never mind. We've got the Home menu in 2015, as substitute.

I've been thinking again about shelling. Well, this should be easier.

Hi! The fillet can be done but you have to use variable radius fillet, not constant radius fillet. The difficult area is at the top where the loft meets with the extrusion. The fillet has to undergo convexity change. VRF helps bypasses the singularity. Please take a look at the attached part and see if it is what you are after.

Thanks!

Not all issues are gone, Johnson.

A fillet will remove material (the "hump" must lose height).

How did you determine your 77mm "height"?  Did you take into account that fillet will remove material height?

Do you have a picture or traditional 2d drawing of what you are trying to achieve?

Here's a version for 2014. I prefer the larger fillet at the center (Loft2 instead of Fillet2)
