Not a single Power Exit! Oh yeah!

Symptoms were randomly, I would click inside the File Open dialog and I'd be
looking at my desktop, or clicking surfaces for an assembly constraint and
Poof! back to the desktop. This was such a bad problem that I had to spend
an entire weekend re-creating a design in 5.3 just so I could get some work
out.

I know Autodesk has been working extremely hard to resolve this problem -
Yesterday, I received a SP1 candidate which was supposed to fix my power
exit problems with R6. I immediately installed it and have been working in
R6 since 10am yesterday without a single Power Exit! Yeah Baby! This is
the way it's supposed to work!

Thanks to the Autodesk team who has been working so hard on this! Thanks to
Loren Jahraus for actually flying down to Silicon Valley to observe first
hand what was happening and following through to resolution the steps needed
to resolve this issue. Autodesk has a highly dedicated team of people who
truly cares about their customers. Do I wish this problem never happened
with a released product? Sure, but I bet not as much as Autodesk does.

Ron - what build do you have? 103 or 106?

You guys have got to quit messing with our minds like this..Friday will be a mad house on the download site...
Well if 103 & 106 your builds..what will we see this week ? 107 ? 110 ? maybe..if they are doing personal visits for other clients as well ??...Yes Ron I agree..they are probably very unhappy the original cut was so touchy..BUT they do follow through and fix these things as quickly and professionaly as possible...

We have build 106! There may be one other build between now an Friday or so I was told. No exits here as well, very strong and stable test release so far. Mike

Has the patch helped the multitude of .idw problems?

Anything in particular? I have tested extensively in the assemblies and idws with no big issues to mention. Mike

Nothing we can put our fingers on, just lock up,
after lock up, after lock up in .idw's

We have one of three designers using 6 the others
are still using 5.3.

The fellow using 6 was OK with it until he started
detailing!

Hope we all can get our hands on the SP this
week.

Bill
