Normal Cut on non cylindrical shape

Hi,

i have a curved thin shape (no modeled with sheet metal), obtained with loft feature> surfaced then givin them a thickness.

I would like to do a cut (for example rectangular) that will be normal to the curved surface.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Split or trim the surface.

Then do the Thicken.

Attach your file here if you can't figure it out.

Something like this (see file)?

Thank you !

Just a curiosity..if i have already modeled it in another way?  Is there any way to do the same?

There might be a dozen different ways - all dependant on what you have already done.

The easiest technique might be to simply drag the red End of Part marker up the feature tree, edit, and then drag it back down.
