None as a bend relief shape option

How it's "None as a bend relief shape option" working?
I try it and it seems that it looks the same with Default option except for
that you can't unfold your part anymore. What I'm doing wrong? Do I have to
set up anything else in order to use this option?
We are using 22 or 20 gauge and we don't need a relief as with heavier
gauges.

When creating a single flange, I set the Relief Shape ="Default" and set Relief Width=.001 to eliminate bend reliefs in the flat pattern. There will still be a line (relief shape) in the flat pattern, but that can be hidden in the .idw file.

For creating "corner to corner" flanges, I use the Corner Seam command and set the Gap=.001 and Relief Shape="Tear"

Hope that helps
