Non-vault custom CC transfer

I've just been informed due to some network license server issues we're having a company wide CAD event where everyone is getting stand alone licenses that come with an OS reinstall.

I'm the only person using Inventor (different group in a larger company) so this only effects me. All my files are local (machine is backed up to a server every night), I'm not using vault.

I've spent the last 2 weeks creating a ton of custom CC content...I've looked around the forum but see a lot of vault references for CC transfer...so I'm unsure of what's what.

Long story short, outside of my .dwg/.idw template files, what files do I need to back up so that I'm able to continue on, once I'm sitting here with a fresh install?

I'd assume my "xxx library.idcl" file...what about all the content center .ipt files that have come from placing custom content center parts?

As far as tube and pipe...if I save my customized "piping runs.iam" file, that has all of my customized styles, is there anything else on that side?

I would do a full backup and use a software that allows you to browse the backup like a mapped drive so you can easy copy paste from it.

You will also want to check your project file and under Folder Options check the location and back up and copy your Content Center Files (these are the generated components). Also in your project file look at your Design Data folder and copy that off and if you made custom templates you will want those also.

In short I would be good to go through your project file path and check to see what’s there and decide if you need it or not. I would do the same thing in the Application Options and check the Files tab location and copy and back those up. It was a good question as the Content Center files location is forgot and once it is you would need regenerate those components. The library themselves are the second most overlooked when moving or reimaging a system.
