Hi,
Is it possible to add a new custom tab in the ribbon?
I saw in some videos some people managed to do it.
I would like to put my custom commands in a custom tab
Regards
Alexandru
Can you try this:
1. Enter "CUI" ar the command line to open the "customize menu" dialog.
2. Click the "+" symbol next to "Ribbon", then the one next to "Tabs".
3. Click the "+" symbol next to the tab to which you want to add the new panel - it will expand to show all the existing panels.
Then pull the slider bar on the right, until you come to "Panels"
4. Right-click Panels, and select "New Panel". Give it a name (e.g Codeware")
Grab this panel name with the left mouse button and pull it up through the menus until you see your tab (from step 3) and drop it in place. (You should see a blue indicator bar as you move up).
You should now have a new panel on the tab, and you can drag and drop commands on this panel from the "Command List" window.

.....
CUI? Command line? What are those? Can you post a screen capture of the process?
Right click on the Ribbon.
Select Customize
Select the tab (environment) that you want to add the custom panel to.
Select the tools you want displayed on this panel and click the move icon.
Oh wait, after reading again I see that you want to add a custom tab, not just a custom panel.
Someone will come along shortly and explain how it is done (in Inventor, not AutoCAD).
can someone tell me how to customize a new tab? I am working in a new add-in for inventor and i want to make a custom tab for it.
