new part freezes

i cannot create a new part, but i can open an existing part. when i go to create a new part it freezes. and i thing the link has beenlost between invento and vault.

Check your paths to your templates in Tools >> Application Options and in
your Project file. Something is not accessable.

Dennis, I too having same issue w/ V-2009. Dble checked my paths as you suggested and all is fine. Any other idea what to do ?? Thanks, Robert

Thanks gyus for your time trying to help, but finaly fund the cure : Double screen set up.... Just that I could not see the dialog box due to dual screen set up. The new dialog box was opening in a none visual space. See cure here : http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=6198067
