Troy,
Yes there is a trial period. 15 days (and note the price reduction, now only £20 a license)

Matt,

Do I have to reboot after installing it? I installed it while
I had Inventor running in the background. But since it is a
separate exe instead of addin, I did not think it would be a
problem. My AVG resident shield was off though, so I know wasn't
the problem. When I try to start your program, I get the splash
screen but then I get a Microsoft error message saying it closed
and would I like to submit info to Microsoft.

Can you send a screenshot of the files that have been installed into your iChangeRef.NET install folder?
Cheers

Troy,
Did you install it into the same folder as an exisitng iChangeRef installation or into its own folder?

hmmm good question, I am not sure. It sounds like it needs to be in its
own folder though?

As usual, I cannot post images from the NNTP side using Thunderbird, so I am posting the screenshot from the web interface!

Bob,
I think I've found the issue, its just taken a couple of days to test it on a P.C. thats an iChangeRef.NET virgin.
I'll post the new version in a coupe of days (sorry, can't be any quicker than that!)

Troy,
Once I've posted the fix for Bob S, try to download and install iChangeRef.NET again.
With that fix in place and as you may have discovered its own install folder we may be able to overcome this issue

Hi Matt,

I tried downloading both the upgrade file and the new setup file.
I first tried the upgrade by copying the supplied executable to
the install directory. iChangeRef still errored out when I tried
to run it, so I un-installed it and tried installing the new file.
And I still get the same error at startup. I installed in the same
location I had before, but deleted the directory before the re-install
(Uninstall left the directory since I left the renamed old version
of teh executable in there. I never had any older versions of
iChangeRef installed. I can try sending you more detailed info
on the crash if you want. Let me know.

Hmmm...

Do you have full install (usually Admin) rights?
Try installing the full version into a new (different) folder
Which OS are you running?
Are you running any AV?

Matt,

I have full admin rights. My OS is XP Pro SP2 with updates current to about 3 months ago. IV2008 Series (not Pro) SP1
AVG Anti-virus with Resident Shield turned off during install.
I just tried uninstalling and reinstalled to a different location. Still no go! Screenshot of more specific error is attached.

Do you still have IV11 installed? if so...
Run and shut down IV11 so that fully registers itself.
Try iChangeRef.NET again, any joy?

Matt,

IV2008 is the ONLY version I have installed. I did not want
to deal with the extra steps needed to have both, so after
the beta of IV2008 I removed that and IV11 before installing
the release version of IV2008.
