Hi,
I am trying to make a set of drawings for a crankshaft.
One drawing is for the casting, the other one is for machineing.
On the casting dwg I would like to add a few features/extrusions but those shall not be on the final drawing.
I there a way of doing this but still keep one original ipt file.
Thanks
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Please, try the following.
In the ipt file, menu Manage > Author > Create iPart.
In the iPart table, Suppression tab, select the features you want to display just in some drawings.
Add a new row and set the value “Suppress” as shown below.
When you create a drawing where you don’t want to display the features, in the Drawing View dialog, Model State tab, select the iPart member corresponding to this second row.
Instead, if you want to display the features, select the iPart member corresponding to the row where the value is “Compute”.
I hope it can help.
Kind regards,
Alessandro
Hi,
Thanks!!!
I'll give it a try.
Would this result in that if I need to do a change on the ipt file. The changes are passed on?
Daniel
You are welcome Daniel,
If you make a change in the ipt, before switching back to the drawings where you have already created the views as explained in the previous post, shift-select the ipart members in the part browser, right-click, Generate Files.
Kind regards,
Alessandro
