Multiconfig Part File

I am not sure if I am phrasing this question correctly but what i heard and looking for is that Inventor has the ability to store multiple configurations of a part within the same .ipt File without having to resave the file as a new file. Something like in AutoCAD where you have Model Space and Paper Space within the same drawing.

Does anyone know how this can be done inside Inventor?

Thanks in advance.

Its called an ipart.

(Inventor also has iassemblies where multiple assembly configurations are saved)

Your like model space/paper space is a really bad example.
