Move Database

I am running out of room on my C: drive and need to move my database to a different drive. How is this done?

I am using SQL 2000 with Vault 5 on a MS 2003 server machine. My file store has already been moved.

Thanks

easy way, make a backup of the vault, and then perform a restore backup. At the time of the restore you can repath the file locations

That’s perfect, so let me give you a scenario….

1. Create Back up
2. Restore back up and change database location to other drive.
3. Remove Inventor 11 libraries
4. Remove ADMS 5
5. Install ADMS 2008, with Inventor 2008 Libraries

Is this a good upgrade path with database location move?

Thanks

Using your work flow I will have the migrate the database twice. Once on the install of 2008 and a second time during the restore. I would rather due this once to save on time.

Thanks

One more thing....

Where are the libraries loaded by default? C: or other?
